I was in that hella mess of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
why would someone thumbs down my answer? if you dont think it is the worse then move along, but to take the time to give me thumbs down for such a horrible event in my life? i lost friends, my other friend's 4 year old baby died. my grandpa went a month without lights but would not leave because he was afraid of my grammy's things getting stolen (she passed away)
you know what, nevermind. sorry i got so worked up. it was a horrible event that can't even be put into words. I am just disgusted that someone could give thumbs down on something so tragic

My sister and I were shocked one day while watching an episode of Cops on regular day-time broadcasting. The cops arrived on a homocide scene, where the camera trailed through the house showing the family members that were shot. They actually showed the bodies, and went into the childrens room where blood was shown on the crib and floor. We were so shocked, a little apalled that so much was shown. To this day, I believe that that was an accident that slipped by censorship.
It is still haunting, the sad thing was that it was the father who took all thier lives before taking his own.

it was on primetime or one of those kind of shows... they were telling the story about a boy who had been stalking his ex-girlfriend......and they couldn't get any help from the police because of the laws.... finally the stalker ended up breaking into the home and killing all 5 of the siblings (including the girlfrien). a news crew was there and filmed the father and mother as they were being told. the father, a big man grabbed the officer by the shirt and said, "ALL FIVE OF THEM???" The officer was like a rag doll, he just said, "yes". the man slowly let go and started wailing as was his wife. they lost all five of their children. all of them. the point of the story was that their were red flags GALORE and yet no one helped this family.... and that's what happened.
may they find peace....
i am in a similiar situation now. no one to help. just another restraining order. whoopee.

Columbine, I came home from middle school and my dad was watching the news...first thing I see is someone jumping out of a window with what looked like blood all over his arm and side. I don't think I'll ever have seen such a horrible thing.

I was just a kid but at the time it was Lee Harvey Oswald getting blown away by Jack Ruby.
Still sticks with me because you actually saw a man murdered live.

The police shootout with the bank robbers in L.A. where the robbers had bullet proof vests and fully automatic weapons. It went on too long and too many people were shot.
