Yes, I agree. It shouldn't be a poxy fine either. They should be made to pay for the entire cost of the resources they've wasted by making that call i.e. the cost of running the ambulance, the paramedics' wages, etc.

yes its really annoying especially when its a matter of saving peoples lives....u can;t joke with things like 999 calls its disgracefull, persoanlly i would say if it can wait 15 minutes then u might as well take a taxi to the hospital or just simply don't go....

For the most part yes, BUT calls like that often indicate a suicidal tendency. They call just to see if anyone cares. It's sad. I think that they should be required to have a psychiatric evaluation BEFORE a fine is levied. If their evaluation is poor, they should have a judgment for mandatory therapy.

I think they should at least be warned, maybe 3 times and if they persist they should be giving some community service. i just think half the time these people are lonely.
