Which one is the best, INTEL QUAD OR AMD MULTICORE?

What have the best performance?...and WHY?

yes ..mark..in the past I prefer intel..but we have a discussion--my friends an me..and is there many opinion's..so I want to hear your opinion's guys...regards.

I make the same question in spanish...believe me..I make a big controversy about it..that's is good to know your oipinions guys,,,,freemont don't be lazy...think....regards..

Here is how you tell when someone just cuts and pastes stuff instead of answering on there own. Look at the first sentence of the third paragraph of freemont's answer: "This past month, Intel stated in a conference call that they'd be bringing the first quad-core parts to market in 4Q06"
Quarter 4 of 2006 is of course far in the past, meaning he basically cut and paste from a fairly old article.

Now here is a real answer. Right now the Intels are easily beating out the AMDs in performance, and the only current quad core product from AMD is the 4x4, which is expensive and is still outperformed by Intels quads. This could change soon though, when AMD comes out with their new chips, but nothing is definitve because there still aren't any decent benchmarks available on the new AMD chips.

Thats a very loaded question and you can expect to get loaded answers. The problem is that there have been no unbiased tests run to tell which is best. There have been MANY tests run on each different type, but the results always dispute the other.

It all boils down to personal preference. I prefer Intel as its fast and far less power hungry than AMD's multi-core chips. I promise you that you'll get someone saying the exact opposite very shortly. ;)
