Well, you can get that but Gateway is not the leader in quality that they once were. We didn't even consider them in our enterprise. That plus the fact that as yet Windows Vista (any version) is a clusterF**k, I wouldn't buy this system.

The system you are getting, who knows about the quality of the parts? Maybe a PCChips motherboard (with possibly a pirated BIOS), some knock-off DVD burner, a cheap hard drive and a cheap tuner? By cheap I do NOT mean inexpensive - I mean CHEAP, low-quality, low-cost parts. And then Vista steps in and slows down your system.

If you are willing to put in a little time putting things together (very easy if you can use a screwdriver) Why not check out MWave.com ( http://www.mwave.com/ ) and build your own. For about the same price (without delivery costs) you can get an Asus motherboard with the same 6100 series nVIDIA chipset and case with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ with 2 Gb DDR RAM, a Sony DVD/CD burner, a Seagate SATA II 500 Gb hard drive and a Hauppauge TV Tuner with remote; and a Windows XP Professional CD.

I have heard some bad things about Windows Vista. And i have heard bad stuff about AMD's as well. They also have good aspects i'm sure.
