i have been online since around 1995! it was about $100 a month and they charged by the hour and after your hour it was charged by the minute.
omg, could you imagine that nowadays? insane. just a random thought.

Since the Prodigy Internet days when it was just text and bulletin boards. Later they added some color to it. I say it was 1986. You had to pay per hour then and one time I had a $350.00 bill. And 1200 BPS modems were the fastest around. If you want to go even farther back when I was in high school in the library 1978. They had this modem thing the phone receiver would sit in and you could look up career ideas. But not sure if that was consider the Internet then or not?

i;ve done a couple of 24-30 hour stints but not many. my usually long run is about 12-20 hours. my all time longest without sleep is 3 days. I work n ights and have a few minor sleeping disorders. I think I slept for like 14 hours afterwards too.

About ten years off and on. I went a couple years without internet service altogether, lol, people thought I dropped off the face of the earth back then, lol.

WOW.... I NEVER HEARD OF THAT!!! I didn't even use a computor back then. i got my 1st computer a year ago and was/still am clueless to how this all works.
i'm addicted to this sight..... a better question would be, what is the longest u have been OFFline! LOL

I guess '95, cause I remember windows 3.1 but not being on the internet then. Then windows '95 came, and the modems, and your internet getting cutoff when a call came in.......... gosh, it seems like a looonnng time agoooo.....
