Destroy America? Where's the common sense here?
Most of what passes for political correctness is common politeness; you treat others as you would expect to be treated.
Other types of speech censorship are cases of your opinion contradicting the accepted norm. Nothing wrong with voicing your opinion; it's called freedom of speech. I'd certainly say there are plenty of contradictory opinions here. You might have to logically defend that opinion - could be a difficult stretch for some.
What passes for "political correctness" would be different at a Democrat convention than at a Republican convention, but there'd be no lack of examples at either.

What are you referring to as "Political Correctness"?
What most people refer to as PC, my grandfather, a traditional conservative, who I spent most of my time with as a child, and respected very much, called manners, and would slap me out of my boots, if I didn't mind them.
Personally, I think If you are willing to take the beat down for offending someone, then you should be able to say anything you want. If what you said just happens to be out of line, the police should look the other way while the person smashes your teeth down your throat.
And if you cannot act civilized in front of young children, you should be put in a place, that you can act as uncivilized all you want, but cannot harm anyone but yourself.
It is a complete shock to me, that most of the people who are opposed to being civilized and minding one's manners, are the same people trying to claim a monoply on morals and responsibility.

the extremely some solutions you have already been given are answer sufficient, regrettably. a number of the human beings who replied in the present day became protecting and began itemizing off each and all the offenses we've supposedly committed, or perhaps in basic terms itemizing the flaws we do this they disagree with in my opinion, utilising that as justification for his or her very own undesirable habit. that is what human beings do. as long as they're politically suitable approximately some communities, they experience they are able to be obnoxious in the direction of others. maximum of them have in all probability in no way even met any extremely Mormons. people who've in all probability got here into touch with them for an entire thirty seconds...yet that's sufficient to make a judgment, interestingly. that is hypocritical and ignorant, besides the shown fact that it is likewise human nature. I do think of there's somewhat greater to it than in basic terms hypocrisy, however. those commentators have been in all probability penalized by way of fact the proprietors or whoever have been fearful of being sued. that's what political correctness extremely comes all the way down to. it is not approximately rights or coaching the popular public to be careful to no longer permit their biases impact their habit. that is approximately getting funds or averting giving funds. somebody complained approximately those commentators, and the proprietors took steps to steer away from a means lawsuit. ...that's why no person did something for the Mormons. no person became afraid that the Mormons could sue, on account that's no longer our way. We have faith in forgiving, in turning the different cheek, no longer in seeing greenback indications in hateful human beings. we are able to permit it pass, by way of fact we don't could desire to apply the detest others coach to justify that habit in ourselves.

PC behavior destroys people's ability to think and reason analytically. They just develop a knee-jerk reaction to certain ideas without even putting any mental effort into it.
Here's a test: ask someone to say one positive thing about Nazi Germany. People are so conditioned to think in PC terms that they can't even formulate one coherent thought on the matter. Now, as a matter of record, I abhor what the Nazis did, not just to the Jews, and to the supposedly "inferior races" but their whole concept of "might makes right".
Now, let me remove the constraints of Political Correctness and say something positive about the Nazi regime. Even though they were fighting for something we now consider evil, from their point of view they were fighting against decadence and forces that conspired to keep them weak. There was a small band of Nazi youth, about 500 of them I believe, who fought with a bravery we can't even imagine. They were just kids, many just barely teenagers, and yet they managed to stop the advance of the Communist army into Berlin for almost a week. Can you even conceive of the strength of will and dedication that required? And these were just kids, most about 10-18 years old.
Compare that with the typical bored, pampered, directionless, overweight, Game Boy-addicted kid today. If those same brave German youth had been fighting to save America, we'd be praising them in song and immortalizing them in statues! They were heroes trying desperately to save their country from the scourge of the Communists.
Imagine if America had lost the Cold War, and the USSR controlled most of the planet. All textbooks are subsequently rewritten to conform to the Communist party line. One day, a brave teacher asks his students to name one good thing about capitalism. Guess what? Due to PC behavior, not one student can even conceive of such a blasphemous thing! Capitalism......good? No! That was exploitation of the workers. Unmitigated greed. It was all bad.
See my point?
This is why PC behavior is destroying America. It's crippling our ability to think rationally and see things as they really are.
