How can I change this?

I read this in a scientific magazine. Are you left handed or right handed? People that rely on their right hand, for instance, at the expense of their left hand have distorted images of themselves. The more they use their left hand, the more positive they see themselves. Don't ask me why. Try it and see if it helps.

Also, there is a condition called Body Dysphormic Disorder. I am a therapist and am surprised at the number of women who share your problem. Very attractive women have come to me so obsessed about their bodies they begin to see nothing but flaws. Mirrors and weight scales. I wish they would throw them in the ocean.

Look at yourself and find a feature or body part you DO like -- do you have great eyes, lustrous hair or fantastic shoulders? Ask a friend to give you positive feedback on your best features. Remember to consider the qualities you possess -- kindness, consideration, a wicked sense of humor. When you are in such a negative space it is hard to move past that, but try to "Fake it until you make it". You need to value yourself, try not to focus so much on the physical and work on your inner qualities. When you achieve satisfaction in other areas of your life you may find that you have the energy to improve your external appearance -- or you may actually discover that the package you are wrapped in is better than you remember!

You can't. You are who you are. If you hate what you see, you are looking the wrong way. Look at yourself with love, with knowledge that God made you perfectly and with great reason. Look at yourself like this, and you will see beauty that you have never seen before. Try it!

Many here will suggest plastic surgery...that is not the way. Plastic surgery destroys the real, natural beauty one was the patient was chosen to bear. It is a mask.

Change your attitude and your outlook. Stop judging others and yourself. Turn you eyes inward until you see yourself as a lovely person.

If you only realised how silly that sounds. No one ever sees themselves as others do. Its an illusion.

Accept the fact that you are what you are and nothing you can do will change that.
