of course no plans to do anything but today he tells me I am an embarrassment. I go to school full time, work 3 days a week and take care of our two daughters.

Feeling a bit low at the moment.

I am a strong willed girl, I don't take any sh|t and won't let people bully me around, well....accept him. He is embarrassed that I take up for myself. That I make sure people see the truth, which you know the truth is never pretty these days. This happens a few times a year, I will get the occasional "you need to make other living arrangements" time to time, when he knows me and the girls would be out on the street. I work as a substitute teacher and finishing up school to work with special ed students. My salary is not enough to support me and my girls. How in the hell did I get here? When we met I had the job, I had the house, I had everything. Ladies, learn from my mistake.

I'm not seeing enough details to give really adequate advice but I must warn you to be careful of what you may be setting your girls' husband choosing skills to be. I'm tellin you I would live in a cardboard box with my girls before I would set them up to believe it was the norm to be degraded by your husband. 99% of girls grow up to repeat history.

He sounds like a jerk, why would he say that? I would take him aside (away from the daughter) and say why am I such an embarrassment. He sounds like an a double s hole. If he acts like this now, I just wonder how he will in 20 years when you have aged a bit. Here's an idea, get dressed up I mean Makeup, nice "revealing" dress and go out with the girls, if he compliments you say well I'm an embarrassment so DON'T LOOK. Have a good time, and see how he likes it. If he still doesn't get it, then maybe you need to just "ignore" him when he feels "you know" and say if I don't look good enough to go out in public with then well I definitely don't look good enough to get intimate with. That should teach him.

How are you an embarrassement? You sound like a devoted mother trying to better yourself through education and make some money as well. If you want to save your marriage, I would say couples counselling to figure this out.

He sounds like he has some issues. Does he do this sort of thing often? Cause you know if he does it is considered abusive behavior and you need to deal with that. Just because he doesn't hit you, doesn't mean that it isn't abuse and isn't just as bad as the physical kind.
