Does UPS ship on weekends (not deliver)?

I ordered something online and it was picked up from the warehouse today, I selected 3 day ground service via UPS. I know they don't deliver on weekends, but I was wondering if the trucks actually travel towards the final destination on weekends.

No, The UPS will not deliver on weekend/Holidays. Thus, if you ordered something on Friday via UPS 3 day select. The UPS will garantee you recieve the package on the next Wendseday.
