Its driving me crazy! It keep screaming "front door open" when the door is shut. Before I smash the alarm (I'm so mad I don't care why the sensor is malfunctioning) how do I disable the chime?

either remove the battery or take the cover off and cap the wires

Isn't there an option to turn the voice off? You can also try adjusting the magnetic contacts on the door or even tape a small magnet close to the pick up. If you are able to unwire it, then it should give you a defective switch and disable that alarm.

Call in a repairman if you have no luck, but those are some things that should hold you until he gets there.

Finally, tape a towel over the speaker to muffle the sound of the alarm. good luck.

not sure on honey but adt was enter code-hit bypass button-enter # of sensor for that door. it should be flashing # on screen showing not ready.
