Try Within Temptation, but start with the albums "The Heart of Everything" and "Silent Force" YOu probably wouldn't like the older stuff.

I can almost guarantee you'll like the stuff off these two albums, though.

Try checking out some of their stuff one You Tube - especially the songs "Memories" and "What Have You Done".

Hope you enjoy!

You should try;

A - Sort of pop-y rock, but mostly cause it's pretty melodic. Best album (IMO), Hi-fi serious

Coheed and Cambria - progressive rock (though some people think it's emo). Best album, IV

Feeder - pretty straightforward rock. Best album, The Singles

Kula Shaker - Britpop at its best, Indian influenced. Best album, K

Madness - The very best of 2nd wave ska. Best album, Singles

Metallica - Yeah, I know - but listen to S&M, it's FANTASTIC, they play with the San Francisco symphony orchestra; I never listen to any other metallica.

Muse - Quirky progressive rock. Best album, any are good - but if I have to choose one, then Absolution.

My Vitriol - Progressive punk, Finelines is my favourite album ever

Newton Faulkner - Guitarist singer/songwriter, just got into him, he's got some pretty killer songs. Best album, Hand Built by Robots

Reuben - VERY varied band, from hardcore metal to acoustic songs, to riff based rock, my favourite band. Best album, all of them - but forced to pick I'd say Very Fast Very Dangerous

Thin lizzy - Best band of the 70s, their greatest hits is a good album

Wolfmother - Alternative riff based goodness from Oz. Best album, Wolfmother

If you're wanting something completely different then try listening to Solas - they're a folk band, but with lots of world and rock influences. Their best album is Sunny Spells and Scattered Showers You could also try Jamie Cullum, he's one of the more accessible of modern jazz artists. Best album, Twentysomething.

Hopefully you find something you like in there, and that you won't have heard of all of them already.

Try listening to some of the older stuff Janes Addiction, Classic Red Hot Chilipeppers like Uplift Mofo and Freaky Styley. Original Punk like Misfits, Black Flag,Circle Jerks. Primus is another one of my favorites, their early stuff is great. But if you want to hear something really unique, Pick up Mr.Bungle's First album.

wello hello since, um I would recomend to you the "Mechanical Animals" album from Marilyn Manson. It is not hardcore at all but is still rock music and my guess is if you like all those bands you listed, that you would prolly dig this to. You should at least google it or give it a quick listen, it might work for ya.
