Depends on if you prefer big city life, suburbs or small town atmosphere - Chicago, Illinois for the the larger one, Kenosha, Wisconsin for the suburbs, and Cadiz, Kentucky for the smaller one.

Newton, Mass is always listed as one has one of the lowest crime rates in the nation is right outside Boston also has a great school system but good luck affording it

Fort Worth, Texas. It's big enough to have everything you need or want and still has home town feel.

Marsland, Nebraska, Niobrea county...very laid back cool place to live...no crime...easy comute
