It could be the electronic equivalent of the ''Medic Alert''
bracelet worn by many...listing medicine allergies, etc.

LOTS of precautions would need to be in place before I would consider any such process.

The microchip manufacturers are dreaming up all kinds of uses for these things. Besides tracking merchandise, they plan to track hospital supplies and doctors, patients, livestock, pets, pharmaceuticals, children, the elderly, employees, documents, the military, and anything else they can think of and convince the unwitting populace about.
What they don't tell you is that these things are not necessarily secure and anyone concerned about keeping their last shred of privacy should just forget about it. You should also be prepared to foot the bill while the microchip manufacturers get rich.

organized shoplifting rings are pushing stores profits towards doing this..........

instead of having a generic bar code each item would be a separate number and could listed listed as where it was sold, or still in inventory or missing.....

or the shirt you bought still has the rfid tag and you are scanned as you walk into the store......and they realized that you bought the shirt at wal mart and the clerks at nieman marcus won't help you........
