I'm getting new windows installed in my house and it seems like a good deal, but I've never gotten them before, so I'm not sure. It breaks down to about $500 per window. They are double hung, lifetime warranty, they have weatherstripping inside and are welded together, not screwed. The window itself also has argon (?) and has really nice security features. Is that price typical?

I paid between $125 - $200 per window - depending on the sizes, but I installed them myself.

the 500 per sounds steep at it's face, but it depends on the sizes of the windows window quality any additional labor, and where you live. Labor cost's vary greatly region to region. a basic install is a window up to 101 united inches, wood out. which will run about $150 per labor only.

Installed price should be about 300 or less per window. I had mine replaced and it was below the 300. I used window world. They were the cheapest that I could find. I also learned that a lot of the windows were made by the same people and just have different names on them. good luck.

Price include installation? That sounds in the ball park. Windws vary in price greatly depending on features.....even if they are the same size: wood, aluminum, vinyl, double pane, type glass, window features......do they rotate so you can clean inside and out, etc.
