Try using Mothballs and opening vents.

Do not use mothballs. They are full of formaldahyde and the odor can make you very sick if it's coming into your house all the time. Put in more vents, air and the only thing that works. If there is a space to put a small fan, you could run it off and on to help get air flow in there. We had that problem previously and we vented the crawl space more and to get out some of the built up odor until the venting helped, we hooked up the fan and ran it off and on until we started seeing a difference. I don't know if you can totally eliminate it but you can alleviate it greatly. Check at Home Depot or Lowe's and see what they recommend short term besides venting. Good Luck.

That's a year's worth of rain here, LOL. Crawl spaces should not have plastic on the floor......most do, but that adds to mold problems. That said, your ground may be saturated and needs time to dry. Check that all the vents from the crawlspace outside are free from plants or other types of clogging. Check that all downspouts from the gutter take the water wall away from the foundation......you never want water standing against the house. Make sure the gutters are working properly....if you don't have gutters, consider them. Maybe you need water diverters on the roof to reduce water from falling in certain troublesome areas around the foundation. If the crawl space opens to the outside, air it out. Otherwise, be patient, it should dryout naturally.
