No, I do not want to go sightseeing (pasyal) immediatelty. the FIRST thing I want to do is enjoy my hotel room, take a shower, look around the hotel, then get something to eat. I'm tired after I fly on a plane, so I like to relax first. Sightseeing is the 2nd day, not the first day.

It depends upon the situation usually, for me. If the flight was short-haul: between two to four hours duration, I usually check-into my hotel and take a walk for a couple of hours, surveying the nearby areas, tasting local food ad drink.

If the flight is medium-haul ( 4-8 hours), I usually take a shower and rest for a couple of hours after check-in and spend the rest of the day relaxing, unless there are some urgent issues.

For long-haul flights, after check-in at the hotel, I usually take a nice long vodka (Smirnoff Blue) with tonic water and sleep out the jet lag and booze, till I'm fresh and energetic once again.

Change into my walking shoes and go sightseeing right away! Even if it means exploring a foreign-speaking city alone on an unholy hour. Yeah I could be that reckless.

After checking in, I just stretch a bit on the bed, change into my comfiest shoes, and start sightseeing right away! I wouldn't want to waste precious sunlight! ^_^

Unpack, freshen up, then rest a bit.

I know that's three things, but I do it (in that order) within the first hour after check-in.

It depends on the situation. Sometimes, I like to get settled in my hotel. If I already have a plan, then I go for it. Sometimes, I just like to rest for a bit.

The first thing I do is unpack. I laze around the room then I freshen up and change. I go sight-seeing after.
