It's hard when you use the same words all the time and run out of new ones, isn't it? Keep thesaurus.com on bookmarks. The secret is really to find adjectives and adverbs without using too many. As Stephen King once said, "I believe the road to Hell is paved with adverbs." Focus on the senses rather than the actual action. I personally think we should petition for a whole bunch of new words. I ran out a long time ago. Good luck. Pax - C

Caressed, stroked, patted her face/cheek. Perhaps he traced her jawline with his finger sending chills down her spine or making her cringe inward.
Depends on what you are writing. Is it romance? Horror, suspense? How do you want him to touch her face? Perhaps he patted her face hard enough to make her cheek sting as if it had been slapped.
When she stares at him... why? Is she mad? In love? If she's in love she'd gaze at him lovingly, smile softly as she watched him move through the routine of his day. Angry: She glared at him through slitted eyes, she stared so hard at him she could have bored a hole through his skull... her eyes sparked with anger as she followed his movements....
Hope that helps.

Be more specific. He stroked her nose? He caressed her cheek? Softly, he ran his fingers from the corner of her eye to the corner of her mouth, with a tickeling touch?
He ran his palm hard down her face and pulled off most of her makeup?
She glares at him?
She glowers at him?
Throwing her hair behind her shoulder, she met his steely, horny gaze, as she threw her head back, licked her lips, kicked off her stiletto heels and ...? (This is family-type site here.)
She looked at him over the top of her horn-rimmed glasses?
She puzzlingly regarded him, as she slipped out of her blouse?
On the icy pavement, she swung at him; ducking, he lost his balance, and swiped his filthy hands across her delicate, clear skin, as he landed, face down, in the gutter, where rats ate his face.

Well, perhaps he stroked her cheek or wiped a tear from her cheek.
And then, maybe, although she had dropped her eyes demurely, she still watched him through the lashes.
Sneaky wench!

His calloused fingers brushed across her soft cheek. Her pale blue eyes focused on his eyes and she could not look away

His meaty paw enveloped her cheek and tilted her head slightly. She knew he meant to be gentle so she hid a wince as she kept her eyes steadily on his. ;)
