I was just going through questions I've answered and there are sooo many that are still open even after 2 days or more. I am now finally realizing most probably just never pick the best. Don't you think that is a waste of time. I mean when you answer don't you have a little hope you might be picked? What's wrong with these people?

I do think the max time of waiting is when they send you an e-mail. Now if some extend their ? that should be only if it is a really good and they are still getting active responses, right?

I wait about 6-8 hours, unless I am leaving them over night while I sleep. I figure once they have been up that long, no one is going to see them anymore, So I may as well pick a best answer. Right?

I don't usually ask questions. I'm more of an answerer.True it seems like a waste of time to answer questions asked by people who don't select a best answer, but the most important purpose in answering a question is to help people, not to earn points. Sure I'd love to have best answer, but if not I'll just have to be satisfied with possibly helping someone out.

I wait until I find the first correct/helpful answer. Most of the time it is within the first day. Sometimes, I let the community decide but that's only when all the answers are about the same.

At the least 6 hours, but Yahoo Answers makes you wait 4 hours anyway.

I resolve mine about 4 or 5 hours after I ask them!

Usually after I'm online, I go to Yahoo Q&S, click on "my profile" then "my questions" , try to pick best answers within one or two days.

I wait as long as it takes... I just extended a few of mine.. when I get the answer I deem appropriate I'll resolve them...

It completely relies upon. If i'm nonetheless receiving solutions,i dont elect it. oftentimes its after an afternoon. yet i make it a factor to elect best answer and hate those idiots who dont elect one.
