Head over to http://www.zillow.com and check it out for house prices.

in this case go to http://www.zillow.com They are pretty acurate if you put the homes in by address. The other possiblity is talk to a local Real Estate Agent, they can run comparable homes in the same area and can give you more exact information. For you as the buyer use the service of a Realtor is normally free. Commissons are usually paid by the seller.

Are you using an agent? - Ask your agent to provide you with a CMA (competitive market anaylsis).

If you are not using an agent - Ask one!

Either that or you can research it at the court house. Zillow.com has some recent sales on their site. Realtor.com has only homes for sale not ones that have been recently sold and how much they sold for. There is a big difference between asking price and actual sold price!

If you have an agent, ask him/her to run a CMA (Comparative Market Analysis) and find out what the houses have been selling for. This report factors in sq. ft, # of bedroomms, baths, etc. If you need any help e-mail me.
