my gold cresent platy just recently started eating stuff off the bottom which is gravel i don't know why because i had just recenly fed it, i thought it might have been hungry again so i put a little bit of food in but he wasn't interested at all and ive done reseach and i didn't find anywhere that they are bottom feeders i don't know if i shoud be worried or if its just a strange fish thing

It sucking the algae from the gravel or leftover food from the bottom so you don't need to worry. Platys do that.

It's just picking at bits of leftover food or algae. That's very common and nothing at all to worry about.

almost every fish i ever owned did this, and i never figured out why, but there's nothing to worry about. some of my rock-eaters lived for 6 years. it's just a strange fish thing.
