Give your Dr a call now, just to be sure. Your baby may be deciding to make an early entrance.

You could be leaking fluid. 3 weeks ago, I was 36 1/2 weeks, and I thought I was leaking fluid, turns out I was. 2 days later my son was born. But, please do call your doctor to check it out, if you are leaking fluid, they want the baby delivered within so many hours or you will risk infection. If it helps you feel at ease, my son was 7 pounds 9 ounces at birth. (Beautiful too, if I may add) :)

It is always good to check when in doubt and you can always go to the hospital were you are delivering and they should be able to check it out, and if it is your water they can induce labor. They can even check to see if you are dilating, you can do this even without starting labor. I don't think its to early depending on your doctor, but if anything it would be borderline. However even if it is a week or two to soon, if it is the water they have no choice to induce, but everything will be fine and the baby is well developed by now. Good luck and God bless.

I felt the same way. There is more pressure with your second baby because your pelvis is already opened up from the first. I also kept thinking the discharge I had was amniotic fluid or my plug, but it wasn't. Call your midwife or doc and ask them to tell you how to tell the difference between those things and normal discharge.

Whenever I see medical questions I have to answer with call your doctor. Please consider hiring medical professionals you can talk to about your body and any personal matter involving your health. What you are experiencing could or could not be normal but only your doctor can truly answer that.

I would call your doctor. If you are leaking fluid you might be having a preemie.

your cervix is probably starting to dilate and thin out, nothing to really worry about, unless you start having regular contractions or bleeding, next time you go to the doc tell them whats happening, remember 38 weeks is considered full term. so i say dont worry about it. be happy cuz your almost done bein pregnant!!

Swelling could be from varicose veins in the vulva, ask your OB. Pretty nasty, but should go away after delivery.
