My cousin just had her baby. Was a girl, and she had kept the name a surprise from everyone...here it is:
Phinneus MacAbelle Powell
In otherwords, in everyday life this little girl will be Phinneus Powell...do you like that? I didnt even know that was a girls name...poor kid...
Btw i would never tell her the name sucks, im just wondering if its just me, or if everyone finds that strange..

The kids go by Finn for short. I think one of Julia Robert's twins is named Phinneus. It's a boy though. Strange names build character. My parents named me Brandan (I'm a girl). Although kids are mean, it's actucally a really cool thing to be different.

I actually like the name! The "PAP" for initials is unfortunate, but it's better than having some blah overused name like Emily or Ashley..... I like "boy" names for girls. My name is Carson, which is typically considered a "boys" name.
I'm glad to hear she kept the name a secret from everyone. She's smart to not want any outside influence.... Too many people change what they wanted to name their child because outside people put their two cents in.... including the people answering here! I plan on keeping everyone in the dark also, when the time comes.

Phinneus is what julia roberts named her twin boy, girls name is Hazel.
Wow Phinneus MacAbelle, sounds straight boy name to me. Never met a girl that goes by Phin, she doesnt even have a middle name to go off of. maybe can nickname Neuh ? (Knee-uh) or belle

this is awful! it should be considered abusive to do such a horrid thing!!! my ex sister in law named a boy she gave birth to while married to my brother a terrible name! its what her father wanted it was Huwan Swane i am not kidding!!! we refused to call this poor baby by that awful name!!!! we called him Ricky,my brothers name was Jack Richard.as it turned out the baby wasn't his,she had cheated on jack while he was serving in Korea but we did not know that at the time.i really loved that little boy! i was just a kid but i cried for days after he and his mom and sister left our home.maybe your cousin will change it she can you know.something pretty like Chloe Elizabeth.if not find a sweet nickname and call her by that instead not that ugly name she has.good luck.

I'm all for giving kids different and unique names. I personally don't care for this especially for a girl but whatever makes her happy I guess. She probably didn't tell anyone the name so no one would make fun or try and talk her out of it. I wanted to name my son Mohammad Timothy but everyone I knew hated it and talked me out of doing it wish I had now.

No, its not just you..... ive heard of finneus for a boy, but only on a cartoon. She probibly wanted to keep it a surprise because she really likes the name and doesnt want to be talked out of it, or be made fun of naming her child that. I wanted to name my child Kingston, but everyone made alot of harsh comments. I say try to give her a good nickname like Phinny, Finn, Abelle, or something creative. i hope it helps! P.S. My name is erica and my parents call me kickie, so you cam be creative. or if the baby likes to smile alot call her smiley. good luck
