Like too name just a few. It doesnt allow us too:

people under 18 be in a relationship with older guys
have multiple wives
smoke weed

Correct me if i'm wrong but are these not things that only affect the people who choose to do them and should be no one elses business?

Also feel free too add to my list.

Jess: you need to learn to tell the difference between business which affects people who did not get involved in it purposely, and business hich only affects those who chose to do it.
These laws are pretty much harmless to anyone but the people choosing to engage in them.
And yes they could be harmful to others if used a certain way, but so can everything.

One of the principles of any society that claims to be civilized should be that nothing should be prohibited if it has no victim.

and for those who claim some behaviors hurt society as a whole, real, solid proof should be required.

Where are those "strict constructionists" on an issue like this? One where they actually could be correct? All I hear is silence.

(well, maybe the Libertarians are backing us?)

If we're going to abolish those because they're no one's business then maybe we should do away with all laws. It's no one's business if someone shoots someone for looking wrong at them. It's no one's business if you want to drive 120 through downtown. It's no one's business if you burn your house down for the insurance. The only one to care about rape is the victim so everyone else should mind their own business.
When you show me that people under 18 can make mature intelligent decisions when approached by a pedophile, I'll mind my own.
When you can show me that men adhere to the Biblical instructions on multiple wives, I'll mind my own.
And when you can show me that those on weed can drive, work, play and behave in an appropriate, responsible manner, I'll mind my own.
Until then, somebody has to be nosing into everyone else's business in order to function as a society.

-Well they have to set a limit on the age that your not considered a child anymore. So if your under the age than your considered a child and your innocent and your don't know better yet. So until that age, no way.
-As for the whole weed stuff..ofcourse your hurting others...just like smoking, theres second hand smoke eh? I odnt think people around you want to be high also.
-multiple wives...i guess if you want that many woman than you can. But maybe t says something in the bible that marriage is between man and woman..not man and womEn. But who's to say...im not that religious.

Smoking weed is touchy. Because if you smoke, and then get into a car... you are effecting others.

All of the other things I can think of are not appropriate for this site. But I sure can think of a few!

I think each of those laws are safety precausions.
Multiple wives: Your first wife would most likle kick your @$$
smoke weed: It's not good for you, healthwise

I don't understand the relationship thing though.
