Stone Temple Pilots 'Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart'
Grand Funk Railroad 'We're An American Band'
Extreme 'Stop The World' (even has a cool Bass solo in it).
Pretty much anything from Spin Doctors (if you like Slap Bass).

ZZ Top - Cheap Sunglasses. Stevie Ray Vaughn - Say What! The Chili Peppers have a good bass man, too.

Lucretia by The Sister of Mercy
Some of the stuff off "Rubber Soul" or "Revolver" by the Beatles has a really great bass sound - not quite what you meant though.

If you want awesome bass riffs, try Cannibal Corpse. Alex Webster is a GOD.
Otherwise, try Guns N' Roses.

Several of the songs on "The Who by numbers" showcased John Entwistle's excellent bass.
And most of The Police's first album is similar.
(I've never heard any of them say it, but I'm convinced that when The Police were "getting their act together" it was The Who that they were trying to sound like)
