Once again today I was in my work trying my hardest to be friendly towards the customers and help people but as soon as I smiled they all ran out of the store screaming.
This keeps happening. What am I supposed to do???
It's things like this that make discrimination worse because it makes me so angry and i'm so sick of it that i'm more likely to starting acting how they THINK I am.

it is them flippen little dolphens they think thier so cute!! Kidding. If your story is real and not a joke , since you are bruce the shark, then I am sorry to say it is a little incomplete.Some more detail might help.Other than that all discrination is hard to determine or stop.If only the world could be perfect.I hated when I was teen and could not carry a back pack in one walgreens they made me keep it at the couter.Stupid, never happened befor I always pay.I used to dress in all black and people would yell witch!! Discrination is in many forms , it happens to just about anybody and if we were super heros we could stop it , but how to do it with out hurting the inocent.

Danah, hear to your self? You sound like somebody from the 1960's Flower new child, that is how they talked each and all the time! They needed to alter the international and swap it around. each and each race comes up in the international and whilst it gets its hazard it sticks its nostril up at extremely everyone else. Forgetting all with regards to the time whilst they have been down. that's the way of the international and it will at last smash the human race. :)

I can't see how you really look, so it is hard to give any advice, maybe it has to do with the fact how you look, or the style that you have, that those around you think is negative. I have been discriminated, and honestly, it all has to do, how I look and how I feel toward the people. As soon as I started to accept them and myself, it all got better. So good luck; I am sure that over time people stop discriminate you.

what? if you are doing your job by smiling at the customer, then they are idiots.
maybe you are over exaggerating by saying the "ran out of the store screaming". If they truly did do that because of you, then you should look into a job with a circus sideshow.

i understand have you feel. I go to a public school and lets just say im not teh most normal ppl you can know. So i meet my cousins friend 9all of which go to her private school) and sooner o later they up calling me "freak" "weirdo" "friend with claws" "goth" and just for saying that i wanted to do some really fckd up sh!t to them. Who are they to judge me the first time they meet me. So what im different, dont mean they have to point it out. And teh funny thing is, they are all whores and i called them it too...so they dont have anythin on me at teh moment.
anyway im just saying ppl are going to descriminate ya know? we cant control that...never could...what we need to do is just forget about it and if it really pisses us off, we just have to explain to ppl, like u are now.
