What is the relationship between the United Nation and international business?

I am trying to get an honest serious answer to this question. Obviously there is some hostility here to as the good in any this group does for the global economy. I really need some help so that without prejudgment I could understand its intentions.

The UN doesn't control international business. Any relationship is strictly voluntary.
