Good question but, I don't think it is public record. Try looking up his home number in the yellow pages and see if it has two names listed. That is the best I can come up with short of stalking him.

Hmm.. actually yes they may very well be public record, however if the person is not from the county or state that the original poster is from then it would not necs. be listed.

My assumption is this may not be stalking but a dating situation where there just may be skeletons in the other persons closet.

Also I heard that a lot of online listings only run up till 5 years ago because of the new patriot act for privacy and safety.

This is public record and is available to anyone. Most states provide this info online, many for free. Search for public records for the particular state. I know that Florida and Nevada provide this info for free. Divorce records are also public record and available to anyone, you just need to know where they got married/divorced. You can find out a lot about somone online these days.

Absolutely. All marriages, births and deaths are a matter of public record. Contact your county clerk's office. There is usually a nominal fee for looking up the record.
