I want to organize a talent show to raise money to start a daycare. I would like some suggestions.

Get a place, get a time, get some judges (local tv or radioor newpaper folk), get some prizes (local businesses may donate them), advertise, which should be no problem if you followed my advice on the judges.

First, find talent. People who can entertain... not people who can tell a bad joke.
Then look for a place to hold it at. Find out the costs to rent the area.
Look for local companies that are willing to give to the cause; food, money, parts, lighting, technical equipment.

my school did one for the people in darfur...just see if it is okay with your principal, and then post flyers with audition days...pick a date for the show, pick people, and charge a few dollars for tickets, and have a silent auction, with the proceeds gioing toward your cause
