For the japanese part, we named the signs after animals whose behavior were reminescent of ours.

For the indian part, a few sources pretend that the Aryans spread that culture when they invaded India 3000BC.

For the Greek part, Ptolemy mixed astrology with the speculations of Aristotle (including the four elements), around 100AD, therefore a bit after the Bible and other philosophical revolutions in Occident.

those are some what gods each of them and when telescope people saw an usual group of stars they just saw it.
