Someone on answers today made a very big deal about black people bringing up hate crimes against them, but these FBI statistics show me that racism is still an issue and I can not take white people who don't think racism is still an issue, seriously. Please raise your awareness... this is really sad... and don't criticize me, just raise the sheet from your eyes and try to make a change. Thank you.

You're absolutely right. Racism is alive and well and living in the ghetto/city. Want to talk about being held down? How many "African-Americans" are still living on the plantation? Then ask yourself how many of my grandmother's people are still living on the reservation. You were given your freedom and you have chosen to squander it and pass the blame on to someone other than yourselves. My grandmother's people however, were rounded up and made to live on worthless land. Those that refused, were summarily shot. Try assimilating.

I think the only thing I can suggest is that the majority of people do not qualify to use 'hate' as a reason for being a victim.
I mean, anybody who is straight is less likely to use hate as a reason for being victimized. Anybody who is white is less likely. So, it kind of takes away the truth in numbers when the numbers don't represent everybody. Although, there is still plenty of racism in the country and it's too bad, hopefully someday we can all accept that we are the same and not rely on the color of our skin to seperate ourselves or our orientation or religion. Maybe someday we can all accept that everybody has some skin color and that doesn't make anybody any different.
All in all though, it looks to me like Jena 6 got screwed hard which is typical of the courts, they can do whatever they want. Hard to find peers too in a town like that to serve on a jury and convict them boys of those crimes. Seems kind of hard to believe.

I don't have any sheet covering my eyes baby. I also don't buy into the whole hate crime fiasco. As a white person, who grewup
in the inner city, I know that there are people who hate me because of my skin color. They could kill me and it wouldn't be considered a hate crime though. And I don't really give a damn if you can take people who are tired of the whole race garbage or not. It's the content of your character baby. Get over yourself.

It will be an issue as long as black people make it one. It's nothing but an excuse for failure in their own community. Most crimes against black people are committed by other blacks. Listen to Bill Cosby...he gets it.
