I think it is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what should happen to him. The NFL has sufficient grounds to permanently banish him from the league, and I hope they do so.

Well he committed the crime, and has to do the time. Although I think some people were a little crazy and extreme over this particular case. After the man serves his sentence, I would have liked to see him get a second chance. There's so many people that want to write him off. These same people have done things that they are not proud of. Human life and animals life can not be compared. I value animal life, and love animals. But to put animals over humans is totally crazy..they would have electocuted the man if it was legal. There's so many more issues going on that are just as important and totally get ignored. If the public put as big of an effort into protesting "bigger" issues than that would be great, and so much could be accomplished. Vick messed his self up in the end.

Elated to see he finally is suspended without pay!

As far as his sentencing goes, I hope he gets the max. I think I would feel differently if Vick had admitted early on and not waited until everyone turned against him.

Is Vick trying to weasel his way back into the good graces of the NFL by not admitting to the gambling bit? Goodell and Arthur Blank are too smart for Vicks antics.

I think he deserves it: he won't be an asset to the NFL as a felon. I'm interested to know whether the Falcons will take back his $20 million signing bonus or not.

He should never play in the NFL again. He stunk anyways. How many times has he ever thrown for 3,000 + yards? Zero!

You know it's a good thing people don't do to athletes what dog fighters do to there animals when the don't perform up to par.

Celebrities and the wealthy should be held to the same standards as everyone else, If this were me being charged, I would already be doing time for it.

Yes, that is a suitable punishment. The only way he should be able to return to the league is if he does alot of community service after prison involving helping animals

Awesome! I think he should be banned for life. Criminal thugs like this are prevalent in professional sports (see the NBA as well) and should be scrutinized. After all, they are supposed to be role models. What good are role models if they're in prison?

I think what he did was horrible. Bankrolling a dog fighting operation and killing 7-8 dogs that didn't meet their 'requirements'? That's abhorrent.

I hope he gets the max jail sentence for his crimes.
