Can anybody please tell me the whole folk lore or superstition regarding the grasshopper entering your home. I read it a few years ago and know it entails feeding the grasshopper. it was specific and if anyone knows please can you help me.!!!

A Locust in the house is a million in the fields. (A Locust is a type of grasshopper.) Even the Old Testament speaks of "a plague of locusts."

A green grasshopper is good luck and prosperity. A brown one is the opposite.

If you feed the cricket, you will have a good harvest or you will get some money, I think. Can't recall which of my Chinese friends told me that one.

I just know by experience,when I c a big greengrasshopper it is money good money coming your way so don't kill it but I kill the black ones n it doesn't matter those eat at your fabrics.

I think it means that you fave to feed the grasshoper or bad luck.

I believe its a cricket and they love raw carrots (no kidding)
