The Cavaliers are up against the salary cap so it's hard for them to make moves without getting rid of players they like. For more on the Cavs and the NBA check this site out. http://factipedia.com/sportsblogs/nba.html

It would not make any difference if they improved their roster or not if they do not play smarter basketball for the thousandth time. Ilguaskas should be set up for the midrange shot. Gooden needs a set amount of touches to maintain confidence as well as other players on the team. The ball stays in LeBron hands too much and the other players cannot maintain a healthy flow, so when it comes down to hitting a pressured shot, no confidence. LeBron James needs to develop a post game and his shooting touch and not dribbling the ball round the perimeter trying to be like Magic. Play Gibson at point, get Larry Hughes healthy and play smarter basketball. This team is not well groomed offensively.

Salary cap issues, mostly. They need to unload Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden, IMO and get a valid point guard and some better help up front. Seems like it's always been a tradition of the Cavs to overpay for underachievers (Danny Ferry) or sign guys well past their prime that just waste up space (Larry Nance, John Battle, Shawn Kemp). By the way, I live in Cleveland, and I know the fan base here enough to know I'll get a lot of flack for my comments. Let's hope the Cavs can do something before LeBron gives up and bolts for free agency.

most likely because of the budget, they have a small team full of pretty high paid salaries. I think they should put Drew Gooden on the trading block for some backcourt help for Gibson. Trade Hughes, his contract's big and he can grab some post presense for the departure of Gooden. (if they did this plan, he isn't gone.. yet...) And anyway, they have gone to the finals with this roster, they don't want to change their team for the same reasons as the Spurs. But eventually they might have to to compete with the ever growing east conference with Boston arising as a good team and the old favorites, Chicago, Detroit, and New Jersey has a team full of talent, could this be their year finally??
