Yes. My sister married a man 23 years older than her, and they are still very happily married. Another of my sisters married aman 15 years older than her, and it has lasted for 33 years so far. I married a man 25 years older, and we were very happily married, unfortunately it did not last as long as my sisters' marriages, as he died within four years. I don't think age really has very much to do with the marriage lasting, it is all down to the love the couple feel for each other, and their attitude.

the couples that I know with such an age gap that are still together had three determining factors:
1. the man is older
2. they are both over 30
3.There is some kind of familial connection or cultural respect with a contract

My parents were 15 years apart, and they complained about it the entire 40 years they were together, but they never got divorced. I don't think it was the age difference that caused their problems. They were just wrong for each other from the beginning, but they were brought up old school.

My wife's parents were married almost 38yrs before her mom died. There was a 20 yr difference between her mom and her dad. Her dad was in his early 50's and her mom was in her early 30's when my wife was born.

Now that I give it some thought....No, I don't know anybody who had that sort of age gap and had a lasting marriage.

My grandmother married her college professor. He was 32 and she was 17. It lasted.
