I mean I know what's its for, but everytime I put my 3 month old on his tummy, he j ust lays there. I know he has a lot of strength in his back and neck so I'm not worried about it, But he kind of just lays there with his head on the floor and stares at the TV. He doesn't move or anything. I usually hear that babies hate tummy time but my newbron seems to like just laying on his stomach and not move. How can I get him to move around and stuff?

tummy time is a great why for them to help build there muscles. and you saw the results of it by him rolling just wait until he gets on his knees and rocks back and forth if you think that was cute. my 6 month old is rocking back and forth and i thought it was the cutest thing when he did this for his first time and 5 1/2 months.

The point of tummy time is to give extra strength to their necks, arms and back to help them eventually learn to crawl and like you just pointed out, roll over. It's very important to get tummy time in each day. It's part of their developement and will need the head strength later on....even if he is lifting his head now, it still needs to get stronger and stay strong.

well my brother hated being on his tummy. he would scream n cry, but he started getting used to it n now he's fine with it. He will move around on his own, when the time is right.
