i cant remember many details but i think it was a cheesy horror/comedy , where some women lived in or visited a house and a weird blue creature came to life, it was a cartoon character that was blue. any thoughts??

I think the cartoon character is a blue devil thing, which if I remember correctly looked something similar to Taz....

There was an episode of Amazing Stories (this episode starred Hayley Mills) in which a woman is menaced by the character from a children's story (in the end she thinks it was all a dream). I don't remember the exact title of the episode.
