I disagree with Theatre Doc as well, because he sounds like a over blown wind bag that thinks he is an expert. (Always avoid so called experts who give you an opinion on your personality or outlook who haven't even seen you perform....)

Now that that is off my chest.... on to what I think!

Log into Yahoo or Goggle or a search engine and start off with "male monolouges". That will give you a few options to start with... But, keep in mind, it is a good idea to read the entire play if you plan to use this piece for an audition.

Hope that helps. :)

I have to disagree with Theater Doc. It is easy to find monologues but not to find the right monologue. A good book for comic and dramatic monologues is 1-1-1 Monologues under one minute.

if you know of any plays or musicals, try to pick one from there. It's possible that the people you are auditioning for would ask you about the character's background and motivation, and a lot of monologues on the internet don't have that because they're not from plays.

You are no actor, an actor would all ready have a monologue ready to go. And an actor would know that monologues come from plays and would have been reading all the plays he could get his hands on. Monlogues should be from roles the actor would be able to play, but you give us no info about you so we cannot cast you properly. Good luck!
