Ive read quite a lot of posts that question why the McCann's have not used a Private Investigator.
Before I ask the question, I do not support them leaving their children alone that night ok!
If a Private Investigator/s were employed to search for the missing child, do you think the public would be privvy to such information?
Surely it would jepordise their investigation.
This is a question about why you think (if you do) there is no Private Investigator working on this case and why. It is not about the events leading up to the disappearance, that has all been said 1000's times.

Oh Darcy!
I asked that question weeks ago!
Am soooo glad you asked it again!
Can't understand why on earth people would expect details of a PRIVATE investigation to be made PUBLIC????
Wouldn't it defeat its own purpose???
Somehow when i asked this question, it was received with the sweet sound of silence!

The people who criticize the McCann's are going to find fault with everything they say and do, no matter what you, or me, or the press, or the McCanns and their supporters say. When I read some of their close minded opinions, I shudder because the Portugal police seem to be of the same unfortunate nature. The description of the man is unrealistic, but the McCanns had nothing to do with it. I am really starting to think these people have been framed. I just don't know if I can figure out the motive. There's been some theories posted about it but at the time, I didn't pay attention to it. I hate conspiracy theories but I think this time the glove might just fit.

Firstly it seems the Police in Portugal keep things (unless your
local press)close to their chest. So a P.I. would have no where to
start, other than hearsay. The public would not have access to
results from P.I.unless the McCann's released it.Confidentialty.I
don't believe they know what happened from start to now.Days
ago.An arrest within hours was across front pages. The media sadly
drag whatever out any way.But morally.

The McCanns have stated that they won't use P.I's, they said this pretty early on into Madeleines disappearance. Lets face it, if they find Madeleine the money stops rolling into the LIMITED COMPANY, doesn't it?

Gerry has made a point of stating on the record that they had no plans to hire private investigations at least twice that I remember.
Fact.

Edit: Actually it IS a fact that he SAID it, not that there aren't any PI's working on the case... and we don't want to speculate now, do we!

Well a private investigater is just that PRIVATE. IF they did hired somebody privately,we would not knowabout it. Isn't that what PRIVATE means!!! Anyway, I think they are too far busy and preoccupied covering their own asses to draw the law and attention away from themselves to even think about doing that. Just my opinion and it is not an accusation.......... ☺

Because private investigators might actually find Madeleine, and where would that leave Kate and Gerry, not to mention the Portugese Police Chief who reminds us constantly that the McCanns are not suspects everytime they try to leave in a hurry.

I have acutally said this all along.
Why do people think they would know and should know if private investigators were working on the case!
It would compromise everything they were investigating.
