Because cookies take too long to make ... but I guess they buy them pre made. Well, I don't eat the bread anyways.

Bread is supposed to expand your stomach before you eat so you can eat more. It also cleanses your pallet.
Also if they are going for a Michelin ranking, they need to give an assortment of bread to be considered for ranking.

I guess because a lot of people, myself included, can not eat sweets when they're hungry because it ruins your appetite. Cookies are more for after dinner.

They do that so that you can eat them during lunch or dinner..but cookies once in a while wouldn't hurt them either. he he.
