Cerberus likes his food live so dried just doesn't do it for him. Canned food has to be meaty, with enough whole parts for each of the three heads.
It's a good idea to have a musical instrument and a song ready, dinner never finishes without it and will include the one serving if you're not quick enough.

Dry daily, canned as a treat. Got to keep their teeth clean and maintain proper physique. Must be hard keeping in shape with three heads all wanting to run in different directions.

Canned. I'm sure the gates of hell can get pretty warm so it would be wise to give him some food with water in it so he doesn't get dehydrated and become unable to perform his duties.
