The first true humans came from Southern Africa about 250,000 years ago and spread from there to other parts of the world. So by that we can ascertain that the first humans who were dark skinned also had dark hair. The racial traits of oriental, caucasian,***** etc came as these groups became isolated and adapted to variations of heat and cold, and dusty ,wet climates. It took thousands of years for those traits to be specific to certain populations. Now because those poplulations are no longer isloated we will eventually all start to look alike in a hundred years or so.

Neandthals were a seperate human species that existed at the same time as humans. We know this from DNA evidence that has been taken from the skeletons of Neanthals and comparing the mitochondrial DNA. There is no evgfidence for any cross breeding between Cro-magnon and Neanderthals. Neanderthal are not,I repeat not our ancestors. If there was any interbreeding between Cro-magnon and Neanderthal the offspring were probably infertile. Think cross breeding horses and donkeys.

Most scientist deny any differences between the so-called races, whatever their view point is undeniable that all of our ansestors came out of Africa. The proof is our DNA and in specific our mitochondrial DNA which can be traced back to one group in Afica.

neaderthals, if you consider them as humans, which i do not really were the only species to carry the blond hair trait. and some neaderthals mated with what we would call modern humans. i would also say that the first peoples hair was dark because everyone came from asia. (sorry for repeating). also, have you ever seen an ape or a chimpanzee with light colored hair. i guess maybe orangutangs, the gingers of the jungle. but chimps are closer to humans genetically.

why? that is a good question. hmm. i dont have a good answer for that.

Dark hair is dominant. They must have been either of blonde, brunette, or redhead to start, and then gone from there.
If I was to guess, I would say light brown. As the mutations would produce all the possible results.

Likely black. Most scientists agree that the first humans came from central Africa, and migrated from there.

Answer: We don't know. Anything else is no more than speculation. So here's my speculation:

It may have been black. People from Africa, Asia, and the Australian aborigines have black hair.

who knows. hair color wasn't important back then.
