Just wondering because distances vary form park to park. I was wondering if someone could make a 215 ft. wall or a 550 ft. wall. I know it sounds crazy, but, I'd like to know if there's a criteria set.

There is a minimum of 250 feet necessary from home plate to any wall, but there's no maximum. It's also "recommended" that parks be at least 320 along the lines and 400 to centerfield, but it's not a requirement.

The Giants' old home, the Polo Grounds, was about 500 feet to deep center. It was near the "483" sign there that Willie Mays made "The Catch."
