I don't know sign language, so we wouldn't have much to talk about.

Well the first step in my opinion would be to close my eyes and see what comes up in my "minds eye" while i'm listening to the music, and pay close attention to the emotions, feelings, and thoughts that go through my head along with any pictures that pop up. Then i would play the music, loudly, and put their hand on the speakers...i would then describe to them how the music makes me feel, and or do an interpretive dance with sign language to the song....

Start a huge bonfire, and then throw a case of fireworks in it...
(Oh...almost forgot...we'll also need to open up the Gates of Hell and take the 3-headed dog for a run in the park...)

allow them to tap and feel the vibrations of the music. tell them what the lyrics are and how the music makes you feel , as in what emotions are brought out by it. after all these are the things that make me love a song.

If its something abstract, like classical music, you can try to paint it, choosing colors that go with the music.
If it's a ballad, draw a picture that tells the story =]

I'd get a really powerful stereo system, crank it up, and place the speakers face down on the floor because i heard that's how they dance. they can feel the vibrations in the floor.

I would watch Father Al dance...
A waltz is easy to "show" someone. My favorite music is Reggea. I will need one of those hats.

describe the beat, like pat her arm to the beat of the music or maybe dance to it, as you would either be dancing fast or slow, modern or like a waltz, or something.

i would let them feel the vibration of the music with their hands(radio, stereo, etc) and allow them to experience the music through movement.
