How do you get white water stains off of wood?

Mayonnaise. Do an internet search for mayonnaise and wood; you'll get tons of hits.

Essentially you just put mayo on it (none of that light junk, the real thing) let it sit for a little while (not long - try 5-10 minutes), then buff the spot with a soft cloth.
