I can't really say any necessary specifics, as that's somewhat of a low price, so places like that that are nice are gone pretty quick. Your best bet is to be really vigilant in scouring the neighborhoods and responding to signs a lot, as when something goes up on Craigslist or in the Stranger or the paper, people will see it and respond like crazy. You want to get the place before the paper even hits the newsstands! Scour the areas around Capital Hill and the back side of Capital Hill facing the CD, where there's a lot of apartment buildings. Look all around Queen Anne. Sometimes, you can get lucky with some really nice places and that's how I've found the best places around in downtown.

I live in Seattle. What I suggest you do, if you are in Seattle, is to drive around the area you wish to live in. A lot of the time there are for rent signs posted on the apts. but not online or in the paper. The other way, if you are out of town, is to look in the Sunday Times, or PI in the classified (you can do this online. You should be able to find a 2 bedroom for $1000. in Seattle. The U district is a good idea, also north seattle or Shoreline. I live in Queen Anne and there are 1 bedrooms for 700-900 a month. Good luck. Also Capitol Hill area.
You do not have to go outside of Seattle to find an apartment in your price range!

One post would be sufficient - why did you post three about the same thing?
I don't think you're not going to find a price like that in downtown Seattle for a two bedroom - prices have really shot up. A good place to look is http://www.rent.com or on http://www.seattletimes.com

near the Airport - 13 miles from downtown. Call Sandy at

Even a studio apartment will run you about that much in Seattle. Look in surrounding areas.

You would be lucky to get a studio at that rate, much less a 2 bedroom. Craigslist would be your best bet, you may luck into someone that needs a sublease or something.
Out in the 'burbs you could find something in that price range. Renton, Kent, Lynnwood, Bothell.

Seattle is pretty pricey. Would you consider something right outside of town?
