It sounds like you are trying to take them out while they are too dry, which makes it hurt. You need to use the lowest possible absorbency, and try leaving it in for the full 8 hours (but no longer). If there's still lots of white showing when you pull it out, and it hurts, you're probably not bleeding enough to be able to use that absorbency.

Is the tampon dry when you're taking it out because if it is that could hurt or you may have some type of infection up there and when you pull the cotton out it rubs it raw. Try urinating while you take the tampon out and it should make it easier

Most likely it is because They haven't absorbed enough liquid. Leave them in longer. (You can leave a tampon in for up to 8 hours). You could also try using a tampon with a smaller absorbancy.

You may be subconsciously tightening your pelvic floor muscles when you pull it out. Try sitting on the toilet, take a few deep breaths, relax and try it again. If that doesn't work, do the same thing again, only this time, (this sounds silly) cough once while you pull. When you cough it puts a slight pressure on your pelvic area and the tampon should slide out. Good luck :)

Are you waiting until the tampon is filled? If you remove a tampon when it's only partly soaked, you'll definitely irritate your inner walls. If you pull it a little and it hurts, just wait a little longer before removing it.

If the tampon hasn't absorbded enough it's going to hurt -- try a lower absorbancy (try juniors)

is it dry when you take it out? not the cotton, but you? the absorbency might just be too much for your flow or for the delicate mucus membranes. try light flow tampons maybe?? and make sure you drink your 8 glasses a day! good luck

This only happens to me if it is too dry when I take it out. Are you taking them out too soon? If there is not enough blood on it it will hurt and I don't leave mine in for more than 4 hours. I only use them on my heaviest days.

You are probably dried out. If it's not that, maybe its the way you are taking it out. You have to take it out at the same angle you put it in. If it's neither of these, go to a doctor, fast! you may have something wrong with your waterworks. Good luck
