Your best bet would be to take your coin to a local coin dealer. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the coin. They will also know the amount minted and what it is going for in today's market.

The 1882 coin has an H on it as a mint mark for it was struck at the Heaton mint in Birmingham, England. It is KM# 9 under Mauritius. One thing though it has Queen Victoria on it not George V. It has a book value of around $5 in grade fine to $15 in grade very fine. In reality the coins sells for a dollar or two in high circulated grades and .25-.50 in low grades. Most collectors of world coins collect the larger denominations not the low ones. The coin of course would be worth more to a person that collects British Commonwealth coins.
