How do you feel about national or regional nick names people use?

for example: I am Brit - I live in Britian not a problem with that one. I am a limey - people explored the seas and eat limes to do it, I am quite proud of that one. You get the idea...

I don't like nicknames. I think some people try to be racist on a sly when they use nicknames.
