Yes, if one is intelligent enough to dive into themselves to acknowledge such things, some people don't like to waste the brain power, they would much rather kill those brain cells with beer.

I'm not sure I know what you mean, but I'd say that self-evident truths are evident TO ourselves. That's what makes them self-evident.

Our truth is rarely self evident. It is gained through overcoming ego misperception and remembering what we love (are deadly serious about). It will however, set us free, when we remember it. We are here to serve that unique divine truth within. It is the abstract experience we long for - "full aliveness."

They are evident in themselves... this "self evident" is just a pretty way of saying "clearly obvious!"
It is not such a big philosophical issue. Unless you go into why are they obvious, and how the source of such condition is validated(to which precision/value/measure)?

i would say yes, what is self evident is a matter of personal opinion, so what is evident to one, isnt to another, its all a matter of interpretation, and how you apply that interpretation
many would say that its a self evident truth that it is wrong for the stronger to hit/abuse the weaker, its wrong for a captor to abuse/hit the captive, yet some of those same people would say its ok for a parent to spank/hit a child, so what exactly is self evident? that assault is ok , sometimes?

No. Something that is "self evident" is evident in itself. It is obvious, does not require proof.
