in wwe, wrestlers often push the opponent to the ropes, followed by an attacking move. or they bounce themselves off the ropes for a more powerful move.

is there a term for this "bounce" thing?

I don't think there's a real term for that. It's probably described as it sounds, bouncing off the ropes or going off the ropes or something like that. No real term. When you sort of throw a person into the ropes or even the turnbuckle, it is called an Irish whip though.

for example: batista irish whiped khali to the rope and SPINEBUSTER!!!!
